Also, when you select the Medical Writing Grants in the ‘Medical Research’ area of our Site you should know that you will be redirected to an online form of a third-party Site ‘Smartsheet’ where the following data will be collected:
- Treating Physician: full name, Institution, address, city, postal code, country, email, therapeutic area, and indication

Health Care Professionals (“You” or “HCPs”)
What are the legal basis for using your information
There are a number of lawful reasons for us to process your personal data
- One of these is called” legitimate interest” and means that we can process your personal data, if we have genuine and legitimate reason and we do not harm any of your rights and interests (Article 6 (1) point f of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR) and the GDPR as amended, adopted and enacted in UK law (UK GDPR) . In particular, our legitimate interest is to a) improve the stability and functionality of the Site , b) facilitate the communication with HCPs c) arrange a meeting with a MSL (Medical Science Liaison). Whenever we process your personal data for our legitimate interest, we will consider and balance any potential impact on you and your rights under the applicable data protection legislation
- We are also required to Article 6 (1) point c of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (EU GDPR) and the GDPR as amended, adopted and enacted in UK law (UK GDPR) to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations including those relating to providing a medical information service and to safety & quality reporting or to establish and defend our legal rights.
Purposes for which we collect personal data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To remain compliant with our legal and regulatory obligations
- To create a scientific exchange with Healthcare Professionals answering their medical questions and providing them with the information they request via the online form
- To arrange a meeting with a MSL (Medical Science Liaison)
- To ensure the stability and upgrade the functionality of the Site
